Beauty and the Beast

The last line of the film "King Kong" was "Twas Beauty killed the Beast" but as today's gruesome offering from my point and shoot shows, it is more often the other way around. This poor Peacock butterfly was in my garage, obviously it had found its way in looking for a spot to hibernate, instead it found the web of this beast of a spider, and this was how they were when I went into my garage this morning. By the colouration I guess the butterfly was not long dead if not just paralysed.
Not nice, but Nature is red in tooth and claw.
