Bridge over quiet waters

Tucked away in the 11-acre Winterbourne Gardens, Edgbaston, is this little Japanese-style bridge. This arts and crafts property was built by John Nettleford (linked, eventually to GKN), who was Birmingham's first housing committee chairman and was committed to building people decent homes to live in. He designed and laid out the Moorpool Estate in Harborne.
