Don't panic! It is 42!

The least said about a meeting today the better, it was a disaster from start to finish and nothing was really achieved. I stressed that I wasn’t required but oh no I had to attend. What a waste of a day!

Thankfully I had a good evening to look forward to and compensate for it, as I headed to Cardiff and St.David’s Hall to see The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show Live! The show, originally written by Douglas Adams, first appeared on radio back in the late 70s before then being adapted for television. The book/series built up a bit of a cult following, and the series finally hit the big screen in 2005 with Martin Freeman starring as the main character Arthur Dent.

Quite a few of the original cast were on show tonight, Simon Jones was Arthur Dent, Geoff McGiven was Ford Prefect, and Susan Sheridan was Trillian and Marvin the Paranoid Android was voiced by Stephen Moore. They were joined by some great new people; particularly good was Mitch Benn as Zaphod Beeblebrox and Miriam Margolyes as the Book. It was a good night, interesting and different, but most of all very entertaining!

Apologies for the quality of the photo, we weren’t allowed to take photos in the auditorium and it wasn’t until it finished that I tried to snatch a photo of the poster. Disappointing that they sold out of programs as well :(
