Birmingham Selfridge's Lemon Meringue - yum!

There were many highlights of today, but this ranks as one of them. As the title suggests, this is a menringue from Selfridge's.

Today involved a Megabus to and from Birmingham for the STP trainee induction day- for all the clinical scientist trainees in England, in Villa park. It was a very long, but very informative and inspirational day.

Today's discoveries:

Well: Villa Park. Turns out that it's the Aston Villa football club grounds. So that's somewhere new!

Wagamama chilli squid are yummy!

It's a good idea to check the coach toilet before stepping inside. My shoes are currently sitting in the bath waiting to have the potent smell of wee washed off them. Needless to say, I did not end up using that toilet.

I also got to see some of Manchester, as the bus took a bit of an indirect route back to Leeds, stopping at Manchester bus station. So that makes 3 cities in one day!

Another first: my first fox! (If you don't count roadkill). While walking home pretty late from the bus station (don't worry, I live very close), a fox ran across the road in front of me and into the park. I didn't manage to get a photo, but you can imagine. It was pretty cool :)
