Japanese anemone and a fly pollinator

We tried for a few years to get Japanese anemones to establish properly in our garden and they finally have, bringing both a little glamour to the autumnal scene and some late nectar and pollen for our pollinating insects. It was a sunny spell in late afternoon on an otherwise cloudy day when I managed to photograph this fly on a sunlit flower. l really like the luminosity of the flower, the brightness of its yellow parts and the contrasting very dark fly, a dipteran, species unknown. I'll miss opportunities like this over the coming winter months. The Japanese anemone is, by the way, actually Chinese (like many of our introduced garden plants in the UK) and was introduced to Europe from China in the mid-19th century. It's name came about as it was so popular and so widely grown in Japan.
