Hola Amigo - it's Indigo

Saturday, the INDIGO day of Horomaka's Rainbow Challenge.

Thank you Ambling Camera for Square September, and
Horomaka for the Rainbow Challenge. You've both had us all thinking really hard!

Indigo is a colour that was traditionally regarded as a colour on the visible spectrum and as one of the seven colours of the rainbow: the colour between blue and violet. It was named after the Indigo dye derived from the plant Indigofera tinctoria and related species.

There are 4 major forms of indigo - electric, deep, dye, and pigment. As well, there are variations of indigo: bright, denim, violet-blue, imperial-blue, Persian indigo, midnight-blue, dark imperial blue, and Japanese indigo - thanks Wikipedia! So for those of us that struggled to find the 'right' coloured Indigo, there's no such thing.

Just as well for me - I wasn't at all too sure whether my clouds were indigo. They were very dramatic though, so thought I'd blip them.

I find it intriguing that the Wikipedia article on Indigo says that its actual position in the electromagnetic spectrum is controversial. I'm picking its controversial because it's so non-specific.

Another day on the water for Team NZ, and what a frustrating day it was too. However, rules are rules, and although they were over 1km ahead, they had reached the 40 minute limit, so the whistle was blown. Darn!

Thanks everyone for helping my last 2 blips hop onto the bottom of Spotlight for a while! It's much appreciated.
