The Avon Under Moonlight
After yesterday's runaway success, just had to get out there again under the full moon.
But, yet again, it was quite cloudy! Had the full-frame fisheye on the old FX D700 and so went for a cloud-scudded reflection time exposure. An estimated four and a half minute exposure smoothed both the clouds and water whilst the streetlights over the watermeadows added a little colour.
Have to admit though, I wasn't happy with any of the dozen shots taken, both vertical and horizontal and in slightly differing positions, which, due to them all being long exposures, took over an hour to do. Mostly to do with the over-bright sky vs the foreground, so quite a lot of editing after.
Big BIG thanks for ALL the 26 hearts and top position in the Spotlights a great deal of the afternoon and all evening and some of the night for my Old Sarum blip of yesterday! It is now my third most successful Blip, ever! You're all fantastic, every one of you!
