Plain and Simple

No, no, no...not really!

This is my lovely orchid plant I was given when I was recovering from surgery and apart from me watering it a bit, its gone on and on and on quite happily on my bedroom windowsill! In fact its grown so tall the stake and the plant are leaning over with the weight and I'm not quite sure what to do with it.

Its so beautiful I am worried about re-potting it in case I kill it by doing that... Any advice on this would be very gratefully received :) Is there a certain time of year to re-pot for example?

Also, could I move it or will that upset it? I would like to put it in the lounge window which is below..but obviously gets much less light and is north facing as well!
