Spring Greens

We have had rain overnight and during this morning, very heavy at times... But it has been quite warm so that rain will be very good for the grape vines that were planted yesterday.
It was pretty damp and soggy underfoot during my dog walk. Photographic inspiration eluded me until I happened to glance across the river to the track on the other side. I was immediately struck by the very fresh greens of the willows and the differing shades and textures of other trees growing alongside the track and up into the slopes behind. The mist was swirling around the top of the Wither Hills in the distance. The well-known landmark pines on the ridge could be seen from time to time. It was a rather beautiful scene and well worth a blip.
