Botanical Gardens in Palermo

Lots of lovely things to see in Palermo, and one of them for me, was the botanical gardens. All plants were named which makes a change as in some places you can be left in the dark with plant identification. However, I saw these lovely water lilies, but couldn't understand why they had placed plastic turtles around the edge of the pond, until one moved - and then we realised that instead of fish, the pond was filled with turtles, and they were all coming out of the water to get a bit of the hot sun!!
