The postman is no longer loved.
He is the bringer of bills, junk and demands. The harbinger of doom.
The postman knows this. These days he has given up even trying to be liked.
His self-respect disappeared with his shiny shoes, peaked hat and the see-through negliges of the 1970's housewife.
