Wettest years in Denver

An interesting chart on the news. Because precipitation varies so widely from location to location in the American West due to the localized heavy thunderstorms associated with the summer monsoon, 2009 and 2011 are not listed both of which had around 22+ inches at Denver Botanic Gardens. I wasn't alive in any of these years listed to weigh in.

What is more troubling as that the city of Denver has moved its official recording location at least 3 times in the last 150 years. These years are all from Stapleton airport. Now the weather station is at DIA an often dry spot on the map
