Allerton Park Horse Trials

Spent most of the day at Allerton Park horse trials whilst OH did marshalling for the dressage competition.
Whilst the dogs & I meandered around the wonderful grounds, we came across a number of these guys in one of the lakes. Many were mating and not settling. However this guy chose to land on one of the bridge support pillars enabling a photo. Not sure if he/she was tired and emotional after the mating?!
