Street Cleaner

When our neighbor's water line broke below the street it sent mud slithering down the street. As it rolled along the dirt dropped out and the water continued on to the storm sewer.
Today's rain re-hydrated the mud and, while it was still viscous, I stood in the rain and hosed that mess on down the line.
When the rain stops and I can get out there without getting soaked I'll pick up the remainder that now sits in front of the house next door (on the downhill side).
This is work that the city should have done but I'd grow old waiting for that to happen.
