The View To Manchester One...

Standing on Charlotte Street in Manchester city centre, a tram runs along Mosley Street towards Piccadilly and in the distance 'Manchester One' can be seen. Formerly known as Portland Tower, it was built in 1962 as St. Andrew's House and was one of the UK's first high-rise buildings. The site was occupied by a warehouse built in 1888 but was destroyed during the Manchester WWII Blitz.
