Performers in the Park
It's my third day in the park and the last day of summer. What better way to enjoy it than taking in all the sights and sounds. As soon as you walk into the park, you're bound to hear someone playing an instrument. The boardwalk of the man-made lake in the park had this ensemble working the crowds. The trumpet man's tone was clear and beautiful. He played a song I cannot put a name too, but somehow I still managed to plug in a couple lyrics here and there. The accompanying guitar was also perfect. He played the background chords and yet the trumpet shined as the standout performance. I attempted to record them and failed with pushing the wrong button on my camera. Take 2 was impossible since the trumpeter stared at me asking for a tip. I was a bit of a "tacaño" and just ran off.
In other news, I finally got my metro pass! Hooray! I went out this morning, walked a few feet from my airbnb apartment and asked for a zone C2 pass. They fortunately had one. Should have started there in the first place.
