Swans and a Stranger
As I'm sure you all know some days are good Blip days and others not so good. Today was a good day. I took lots of pictures and couldn't choose between them. Went for a walk this evening and with the sun setting the light was perfect for photos!
However, I have been lucky enough to be sent one of the 'When you're a stranger' cameras from a fellow Blipper. It's fascinating to read where the camera has already been; South Africa, Croatia, Scotland...
So today I went out to find my stranger. It took me a while to pluck up the courage to ask somebody but as I sat by the river in St Ives I spotted a man feeding the ducks & swans. He looked friendly enough so I approached him and explained the project. He was happy to have his picture taken. When I asked him to tell me something about himself he thought about it for some time then told me he's a freelance writer. I gave him the Blip website, thanked him and went on my way. I've no idea whether the photo will be any good, you get so used to the luxury of being able to view pictures immediately with digital cameras.
When I read the instructions re. the upload it said 'Use your Blip on the day to tell us about the shoot'. Well, I had taken the photograph of my stranger with the disposable camera (obviously) so I chose this picture as it was the next best thing. He had been feeding the swans after all.
So, any of you blippers fancy the camera next?
