Real Maps

My introduction to travelling as a youngster was extended car and caravan trips across Europe with my family each summer.

I visited my parents today and my father produced a proper old-fashioned paper map with all these holiday routes marked on them (none of your new-fangled Google Maps nonsense here).

Don't recall ever seeing this map before, but it does make me appreciate the many many miles that my Dad drove on the 'wrong' side of the road - and might also explain at least some of my enthusiasm for travelling.
