Embellishments...

I was thinking of a few embellishments for my bunnets and was inspired by buttons that I found on sale in Covent Garden the other week. They were slices or clumps of juniper basically just sanded up nicely and two holes put in them for threading.

I've dabbled in heather wood in the past and actually have some worked up slivers of heather that I was going to use as ear rings (not fo myself). In the meantime, before I have an appropriate bunnet upon which to mount some heather wood buttons, I thought I'd test the theory on a wee stitch marker which has turned out wicked, certainly a bit snazzier than the green plastic ring I normally use.
