Morris
I've backblipped yesterday's post here, so take a look when you get a minute
I awoke to Miles' dulcit tones far, far earlier than I would have liked this morning.
Not that he was awake early, more that I shouldn't have enjoyed the erm... campfire company as much as I did last night (and The Band Who Knew Too Much played too... I love those guys! So much fun!). With a pounding head, I reminded myself that it's not his fault, and there's no rest in parenthood and got up and got the little smiler ready for the day.
We had a relaxed morning just chatting with people that had stayed over at Commonground after the party and sat around in the Sunshine. At the top of the hill above the main building, there's a large amount of 'stuff' that's been accumulated over the years. Most of it actually does get used at some time or another.
Today's blip is an old rusty Morris Minor that's up there. Having said in a previous post that I'm not a 'car guy', I must confess that I absolutely love Morris Minors. My Grandma had one when I was growing up, and I've forever had a fondness for them. One day, when I finish the other bazillion things that I've got planned, I'm going to get one, fix it up, and have it as my pride and joy. Somehow I doubt that it will be this exact one, but hey, you never know!
Back in Melbourne, we played a gig in Richmond this afternoon. I can't say that my head was in the best state for drumming, but we got through it and played a good couple of sets, so all is well! Gina, Miles and I then stopped off for some Pho in little Saigon on the way home.
What a weekend! Exhausted now though, and the week starts again, so better hit the sack!
I apologise for being a little scarce on your journals at the moment... I'll get round to them properly this week.
