Blackberrying

Well, it's hardly been an Indian Summer; I think parts of the country had good weather yesterday but we had rain most of the day, until the evening. Today, though, is really quite warm so we went off to see if the blackberries were ready. Once we got off the road and onto the old country lanes like this one we found plenty, although most still need a couple of weeks to ripen. Never mind, we still got enough for a pie and some to freeze.
