Araneus Diadematus

The common garden spider. Chameleo posted a similar photo yesterday but I didn't spot that until I had started to upload mine.
This spider was sat in the centre of a web almost five feet in diameter across a path in our garden, I had already walked into one web this morning so I was glad to have spotted this one.
I had to gently move it after I took the photos but I made sure she (I think it is a female) was safely put in a bush. I expect she will make another web overnight.
