Tiny Garden Spider

I noticed an unkempt web on an exposed branch that was patrolled by a small spider. As I watched, a black fly patrolling me hit the web and was quickly captured. She captured several more. I went back the next day; the web was still there but no spider. The exposed location that made for good hunting might have exposed her to predation. Or maybe she just moved to a better location.
