Sing-a-long
We were both up bright and early today as G had to work and I was going to wing my way across town on the train to catch up with my mum, sister and niece. My niece, 'the munchkin' as she is affectionately called in our house has grown so much in the last four weeks since we have moved and I had seen her last. It is her 2nd birthday next month so we headed to the shops to try and find her a new coat.
After a bit of shopping and a late lunch I spent some time colouring with the mucnhkin. Her pen grip is very good and she is begining to make some significant strokes on the page. Time went by far too quickly and I would have liked to have stayed for longer as having moved away I do not get to see my famiiy now as often as I used to. We all used to lie within 3 miles of each other, not the 70 miles it is now.
As I headed back through town I met up with G, Rach and John and we headed to Bethnal Green for a spot of dinner. We were meeting one of our friends for her birthday for a night of drinking and karaoke.
We all like a good sing song and it turned out to be a really great night. I had forgotten how much I enjoy singing.Might have to sign up for singing lessons again. Just need to find the time.
A bit tipsy G and I headed to Liverpool St to get the train home, but not before grabbing a quick shot of all the old cassette tapes which were stuck to the walls in the karaoke room.
