Been writing resumes and cover letters today for jobs for next year. Crossing my fingers really, really tightly about one job.

I always feel like a tool writing cover letters, trying to think of good things to say that don't sound ridiculous. The gist is always, 'give me a job, I'm tops'. Why can't I just write that?
