The Coronation of James V
We continued commemorating the 500th anniversary of the events surrounding the tragic Battle of Flodden by heading to Stirling Castle to attend the new King's coronation. A suckling baby, he was not old enough to rule, which caused some difficulties for the Scottish kingdom.
In the Great Hall we watched scenes from the period. Here a messenger from the bloody field at Branxton tells Queen Margaret Tudor of the death of her husband King James IV.
