An evening with Daddy

Mike made Eva some oat and apple baby cereal again today. Again she would barely open her mouth and kept grabbing for the spoon, but he managed to get her to have a tiny bit, more than she'd have off me yesterday. I do want to carry on with the BLW, but I thought I'd try just getting her to swallow more at least, then hopefully the rest should follow a lot better. I absolutely hate to relent and give up on something ideally wanted to stick to, so I'm not going to give up, just try this alongside and see if it makes any difference with her keep waking up for feeds in the night all of a sudden. She certainly isn't malnourished so i'm not concerned about that, just would like her to be sleeping through again, and if it's because she is hungry, then that's not good.

I was going out with Sue at 4 o clock, so I spent parts of the day getting ready in between Eva's feeds, playtime and sleeps. I did it in stages. John came round just as I was going to dry and straighten my hair, and it's a good job he did, as Eva was frightened of the hair dryer, so he kept her entertained whilst I got my hair done. Then my dad came round, so again, he sat with Eva whilst I went and got my makeup done. Thanks guys :-)

I gave Eva a big feed before I left as I wasn't sure how she'd be with a bottle, then Mike took me into Solihull, picking Sue up along the way.

We got into Solihull, and I waved Eva goodbye hoping she wouldn't cry at seeing me go. I needn't have worried, as she just laughed at me through the window as Mike pulled away.

Me and Sue had such a laugh, it was our first night out drinking since December 2011, but I did text Mike throughout the night seeing how Eva was. She was totally fine. She'd had some milk, been watching In The Night Garden with him, and was fast asleep in bed by about 8.30 pm. He also sent me today's pic of the day of the 2 of them.

I got back about 11ish, and was so glad Eva woke up not long after, as my boobs were so full, I desperately needed to feed her, else I don't think I'd have got to sleep myself. She had a big, long feed and then went straight back to sleep xxx
