Today we were with friends in Lauwersoog, we have brought to the port visit. Lauwersoog is created after 1969, after the embankment of the Lauwerssea to the Lauwerslake and was once the artificial island of Rijkswaterstaat. Lauwersoog is an important fishing port (LO) and has a private auction. The port can accommodate 150 fishing vessels The convenient location in relation to the northern fishing grounds, the Danish coast and the German Bight is Lauwersoog decades popular with fishermen setting out their nets here.
