Tirana

We have seen many of these bunkers over the last week dotted all over the place. These were built in the communist era to defend Albania in the event of invasion. The person who designed them sat inside one while it was shelled to prove how strong they were. He came out unscathed afterwards. I had heard that there were painted ones but not till today in Tirana did we see any. This was my favourite as it was the most colourful! After a day of sight seeing we caught our flight home. That is the end of my holidays for 2013, back to reality tomorrow!
