Official Start Point

This marker stone, a couple of miles above the village of Osmotherley is the official start point of the Lyke Wake Walk. The walk used to begin in the village itself but was moved due to the number of walkers. We parked in the village and set off up to the start at 10pm. Our spirits were high and the moon cast a silvery glow across the landscape which was quite magical.
