Centipede
When you think of "human centipede" you probably think of the hard swallow horror film (no pun intended). In Japan they have a different kind of human centipede.
Every spring or fall schools across Japan have Sports Day. Kids practice for weeks, everything from proper marching form, to radio kinesthetics and then their special events. Every year at my junior high school the third year students do an event called "Mukade" which translates to centipede. (We have these really aggressive, mean and poisonous centipedes here.) Think of a three-legged race, but instead of two people, the entire class (~35 kids) tie their feet together in a single-file line and have to make one lap around the track. When classes practice a lot and get it down pat, they can actually go really fast. Then there are also the teams that can't get in sync with each other and fall over constantly.
While it's pretty normal to me now, when I first saw it I couldn't believe my eyes.
