One of the chickens from the farm opposite in virtually the same spot as James was yesterday - but obviously from a completely different angle!

One of our neighbours has taken to feeding the chickens and so they've been outside the front of the house and coming into the lane loads recently - we now need to be careful reversing out that there's not a chicken in the way - and the amount of chicken poop to avoid when heading out with Bill is considerable! Thankfully Bill is ace with them and doesn't even glance at them when we walk past - not sure I'd trust him off the lead though!

Only three today and they were a bit skittish and scarpered as soon as I appeared with the camera!

James is pretty tired after his epic cycle yesterday - not only much longer than the Caledonian Etape he's done for the last three years, but significantly hillier. He's not so keen on going up however going down is another matter - his whizzy gizmo told us he hit 49mph on some of the downhills yesterday which scares the life out of me!!!
