Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham

We saw "The Butterfly Lion" here on Friday night. I had already blipped on Friday and didn't get a chance to photograph it until today.

The performance was really great, the book by Michael Morpurgo is aimed at slightly younger readers than "War Horse" and this was reflected in the adaptation. We found it a charming story....boy has pet white lion cub in Africa..boy goes to school in England and then to war and lion ends up in a circus....will they meet again?!? And then the reason for it being called a butterfly lion was not revealed until the last five minutes and was enchanting.

The Everyman Theatre was designed in 1891 and was opened by Lily Langtry.
PS. I will only be intermittently on Blip for the next few days as back in Essex at the old house, final packing and no internet. Please bear with....
