Battery usage...

I think I have a plausible (in my mind anyway) theory on my phone's battery usage.

I'm up near IKEA on a course this week and the area we are in has little to no phone signal.

I reckon a mobile phone uses up more energy trying to attain a signal than if there is a strong signal present there for the usage.

It would certainly account for the number of times I had to recharge during my holiday earlier in the year down in York.

Anyone with more technical knowledge on the subject, please feel free to confirm or deny.
