Rock Gardening

This is an example of what is involved when we talk about gardening here. The holes must be lined with gopher wire and filled with decent dirt before anything can be planted on such a steep rocky hill. The ice plant below where they are standing took a pretty big hit during this hot summer, when the irrigation got clogged up, but we're hoping the brilliant orange and pink flowers will appear in the spring. In the meantime, OilMan and Dana are wearing a pretty good approximation of the proper colors.
