Experiment: Dark Background in Broad Daylight

Believe it or not, this image was shot in broad daylight...in direct sun!! I read about doing this today and just had to give it a try...and...IT WORKS!! I'm sure you pros have known about how to do this forever, but for me, it was a great learning experience and one I will try again in the near future.
