Rolling stones

I was pottering in the garden when I spotted this cushion of moss lit up by the sun. It looked so good! It is at the base of a bay tree that is in a large half barrel. The tree has been there for very many years, it must be solid roots by now but it survives. Under the tree is a collection of interesting stones and fossils. The fossils used to be in a box indoors but nobody ever saw them there so now they are outside. They won't come to any harm, after all they have survived a few million years! I can't remember where they came from, but I think I got them when I was at school, on a Geography field trip.
