I let this ruin my day. :(

So, here's the thing. All Summer I have been bangin' on about booking tickets to Gifford's Circus, which is a Cotswold based Circus, that is just incredible. Since I have been a "Cotswoldian", we haven't missed a single year. This year's circus theme was tipped to be excellent, so I was very keen to book the tickets.

Even through the hectic Summer I have had, meningitis, moving house and everything else that is called LIFE, I finally got round to booking tickets a few weeks ago. I was really keen to book for the last ever show of the season, and as these tickets are always ultra popular, I was lucky to get some for all of us. They cost £71, but worth every penny.

So, the tickets arrived, and I put them to one side on a pile of paperwork.

(Hang in there, this story does have a point...!)

So, last Sunday, we had some friends come for lunch and a catch up, it was a really lovely day, with the kids and my friend Sam. Sam asked me if I had been to Gifford's yet, as she had been a few weeks before and was raving about it. I told her that I was super excited that we managed to get tickets to the very last show and she said, again, how great it was. I pointed to the pile of paperwork on the side and told her the tickets were in this somewhere... Then forgot about it.

So, she left, and we just carried on with the evening...

So... then, this morning... I thought I better just check the tickets were in the aforementioned pile, and lo and behold, they were. I was relieved! ...I then looked at the date: Sunday 22nd September. LAST FRIGGIN' SUNDAY.

The ironic thing is that, that was the SAME day as Sam and the kids came over for lunch, and if I had located the tickets, when we were speaking about them, I would have realised it was in fact THAT evening.

I AM GUTTED. I have let this ruin my mood for the whole day, and feel utterly and properly stroppy.
