Sunshine, Briefly, and Shadows
I realize that I posted a spider photo -- not everyone's cup of tea -- only a few days ago, but this one was the most interesting subject I found in the back garden today after a brief torrential rainstorm, followed by equally brief brilliant sunshine, and then more dull gray clouds.
She was hiding on the underside of a leaf, further obscured by the last blueberry on the bush. I resorted to one-handed photography, with the other employed in bending back the branch so all of this lovely spider -- a Cross Orbweaver, like the earlier one -- could be seen.
The delicate shadow was a bonus.
(In deference to those of you with arachnophobia, I'll try to abstain from firther arachnid images for at least a week.)
