River Hodder at Whitewell

Today's the day ....................... to step

You'd think it would be easy to step your way across the River Hodder on these sturdy stepping stones.

But I found it made me go all peculiar - especially in the middle where the river was quite deep and flowing fast. I had to take a firm grip and tell myself that if they were on dry land, I wouldn't have any trouble with them.

I'm glad to tell you, however, that I made it across - and then back again ...................
