Mud, Landerberry

In contrast to yesterday's warmth and sunshine, today was a cold, dreich autumn day all through.

On the way from the Banchory office back to Inverurie this evening, I passed by the gate to the barley field at Landerberry that featured here back in July, and was struck by the texture of the tyre tracks left in the dark alluvial mud by farm equipment entering and leaving the field.
