The Violin

Picked The Carmenator up from after school club this evening and this was amongst the stuff she brought home.

She's decided she would like to learn to play the violin and I must confess that I am dead chuffed. I was a little concerned when she informed me that they weren't allowed to use the bow yet as in my - admittedly limited - understanding of violin playing, I thought it was an integral part.

However, she assures me that the bow will be used in due course, but for now they are focusing on plucking and..."Daddy! It is not a small, but ornate guitar!"

Good luck to her, I really hope she sticks with it.
