Flaming Custard

We're cramming in three secondary school open evenings this week, starting tonight just down the hill at Titus Salt. We toured a succession of subject themed classrooms, all full of activities to engage with, often with current students doing the demonstrating.

In the Chemistry suite, 9yo got to assist in the burning of custard powder, with dramatic results as you can see.

The new build school was full of impressive learning spaces, and the staff and students that we met seemed engaged and enthusiastic, so a good start to our visits.
