The Gang's All Here.....Well, Almost

Things change! Fact!

Ordinarily, I like when they do.

Change is an opportunity to explore new territory

It's the chance to try something new.

And changes that happen in and around our lives can and often will change us on the inside.

Change can stretch us...mould us into a new shape.

It can feel as though we're being fired in the kiln when change hits our circumstances.


When a piece of pottery comes out of the kiln after several firings, it is changed - it's also much more beautiful than when it first went in!

Change proves us.


I'm in Birmingham with some colleagues. We have some activities that we're involved in tomorrow and so we'd planned to gather this evening for some food and some chat.

We don't often get the chance to be in the same place at the same time.

I snapped a lovely sunset from my hotel window before heading out for said food.

Our team is scattered across the UK which meant a couple of colleagues weren't due to arrive until later in the evening.

Unfortunately, they arrived to find out that the hotel they'd booked some time ago had given away one of their rooms!

I gather a strongly worded letter will be written.

My colleague was moved to a different hotel on the outskirts of the city.

My other colleague who had also arrived late went with her to ensure she was ok.


So, our plans changed right at the last minute.


Three of us remained in the city centre and our two colleagues ate dinner some miles way.

That's the kind of change that brings disappointment.

Tomorrow will bring another opportunity for the gang to come together!

I did have a lovely evening though - spent most of it giggling like a teenager!!
