Annie's Pet . . .
Adjusting to her new home.
This spider was happy in its residence outside a sliding glass dining room door
Until the humans started using the door and got startled by the poor spider.
In some circles, being startled can mean a death sentence for the scary creature, but here, it gets scooped up and relocated, sentenced to take its chances in a different venue.
A few days ago, I facilitated such a relocation, only to see a much bigger spider come out and turn the smaller one into a five-second lunch wrap.
Today's spider is big enough to not fall victim to such treatment - I'm sure there are no bigger spiders in the neighbourhood!
