Made in Scotland, from girders...

For my non-Scottish Blip chums, this is our other national drink. It outsells Coca Cola and Pepsi - making Scotland the only country in the world to have an alternative top selling soft drink.

It has legendary hang-over curing properties, and sales tend to peak late Sunday morning. The Russians love it so much that a factory was built over there to satisfy their demands. Apparently it goes great with vodka.

The ads are legendary, but the old strapline: "made in Scotland, from girders, has been dropped following a ruling from the ASA that the claim was unlawful because in actual fact, there were no girders or wrought iron to be found in the bru.
