Forgotten Gatehouses

Battled our way through the undergrowth today to get to the old gatehouses at work, these used to be the main entrance to Denton hall but have long since been abandoned . They are still in good condition we checked over them and one needs a roof repair but thats it . Many years ago a family lived in them with the kitchen and one bedroom in one side and the living room and a second bedroom in the other , It must have been quite cramped as they are only about 10 feet wide inside and have six sides with a staircase taking up alot of that space ,one still has the remains of the range in it and the other has a open fire , it must have been strange living in two tiny houses at the same time. bigger gates
