The Scottish Learning Festival opened today and as ever I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and learned a lot.

Tonight I am meeting with three of the other keynote speakers - Avis Glaze, Pasi Sahlberg and Andy Hargreaves - and I am sure I will learn even more from such distinguished educators.

I suppose I could say that my tongue is hanging out at the prospect, or that I am in competition with Roseanna Cunningham for tongue blips after her one on Monday. But I truth I loved the colours on this lizard today and it demonstrates the extraordinary richness of things you see ( and learn about) at what is now the largest educational event in Scotland.
