IBMS Congress

Field trip day from work today, a day out to the IBMS* Congress at the ICC in Birmingham.
I went to quite a few of the lectures and talks and felt very professional doing it.  The stuff on Inflammatory Bowel Disease was particularly interesting.
I've got to admit disappointment though with the amount and quality of the freebies on offer at all the exhibitor stands.  Last time I went to Congress I came back with 2 years worth of pens, this time I got 3.
Although thank you to Siemens.  They gave me a pen...with a torch in the end...and a laser pointer!  Just for listening to their schpeil about their Dimension analyser.
