Best before date?

Pure natural honey.

Ideal when you have, as I have, a cold.

Many a man would call it flu.
But there is a huge difference between the two as we all know.

So, to help with my cold I am having a hot lemon drink containing paracetamol with honey added.

But why is there a best before date on the only food that does not go off?

Apparently mineral water will "go off" as it reacts with the plastic bottle. But glass doesn't contaminate so we don't need a best before date on honey.

I can't be very ill. I managed to play Hockey with the students this morning and scored twice. Good job we videoed it. I was certain I got three!
